Works council election process
Protection against dismissal. From the beginning.
Find out in our works guide whether you could set up a works council in your company.
Find at least two colleagues who will initiate the establishment of a works council with you.
Invite all your colleagues to a works meeting and choose an election board with them: This board will oversee the election and be responsible for the overall progress.
Now it's time to prepare for the election: who can vote and be elected? What deadlines do I need to consider? How do I get in touch with the employer?
